Prior to my roles in the academy sector, I spent over 20 years in local accountancy practices, supporting and advising clients/organisations from several sectors - including business and tax advice.  Since 2011, the client base included several academy trusts in the local area (and beyond), and I played a key role in providing audit and accountancy services to the sector.  Since 2021, I have worked in financial roles within the academy trusts, joining Orchard in Spring 2025. 

I qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2008 and hold a BA(Hons) Business Studies degree.

I am a Parent Governor at two local primary settings.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family alongside swimming, cricket, football (more watching than playing these days!!) and supporting the mighty Port Vale!!
