Education Welfare Officer
I joined Orchard Community Trust in January 2026, bringing over 30 years of experience working across primary, secondary, and specialist educational provisions. I am a qualified Education Welfare Officer and have served within the Stoke-on-Trent Education Welfare Service since 2002. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience supporting schools, working closely with families, and representing the local authority in court proceedings. In addition to my professional roles, I have also served as a school governor, further broadening my understanding of governance, strategic planning, and the challenges faced by educational settings.
I was subsequently promoted to Senior Education Welfare Officer, a role that further strengthened my expertise in providing guidance, promoting attendance, and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people. I look forward to bringing my experience, enthusiasm and commitment to making a positive difference within the trust community.
I love to regularly attend classes at the gym, run with the local running group and spend as much time as possible out and about with my family.
