Duke of Edinburgh Award
Year 10 and 11 Pupils from Watermill School undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award went on their 2 day expedition in July. 20 pupils walked between 10 and 20 Kilometres over 2 days. They had to carry their own equipment and food and make their own meals.
For many, including the staff, it was a first night ever in a tent. It was a great trip with everyone putting in a huge effort and returning home on day 2 exhausted. A huge thank you to Mr Kirk the PE teacher at Watermill for organising such a fantastic event that is now an annual item on the enrichment calendar.
